Queensland Museum says it has removed all Shell-branded educational resources from its website, following concerns by Comms Declare and Queensland environmental groups.
Comms Declare, the Queensland Conservation Council, Parents for Climate and the End Fossil Fuel Sponsorship Group met with Museum bosses in July.
They handed over an open letter and petition against the Shell sponsorship.
The groups asked for the sponsorship deal to be scrapped and for the Museum’s Partnership Policy to be updated to prohibit any new fossil fuel sponsorships.
Parents for Climate have also started a petition for a Senate Inquiry into fossil fuel industry interventions in childhood settings, following Comms Declare’s report From Cradle to Career.
The report revealed extensive and systematic influence on childhood institutions by coal, oil and gas companies.

The Federal Greens have demanded a Senate Inquiry into claims raised by the report, which has also been backed by independents, including Senator David Pocock.
