TasGas has removed claims about gas being ‘clean’ and ‘safe’ from its website, following a complaint by Comms Declare.
Comms Declare complained to Ad Standards about the content on the TasGas website in late 2023, claiming some of the below statements were false, misleading and non substantiated.
An email from Ad Standards later confirmed; “The advertiser has subsequently responded to advise that the advertisement under complaint has been removed and the original advertisement will not be used again on this medium.”
TasGas, which provides gas to Tasmania and Victoria, has since rebranded to Solstice Energy and has a new website.
